How much can I save with membership?
At a standard rate of $360/hour, a single consultation can cost hundreds. On Member plans and above, consultations are unlimited* and included in your monthly fee; Essentials includes 1-2 consultations per month. Most members see the value in their first month.
What's the difference between Member and Black Card?
The Black Card is the elite tier for individuals or businesses who want a true legal partnership. You get a dedicated account manager, a named senior lawyer relationship, 1TB of secure document storage, and a 4-hour response window during business hours. It's designed for high-net-worth individuals, family offices, or established businesses needing ongoing strategic counsel and white-glove service.
What is Relevant Law AI and who gets access?
Relevant Law AI is a proprietary technology platform currently in internal beta development. It is designed to support licensed lawyers at Relevant Law branches with research and workflow tools. All members get access to Ellis AI for general guidance. Business and Black Card members will receive priority access to expanded features as they become available. All legal advice and services are provided by licensed lawyers exercising independent professional judgment.
What's included in "unlimited consultations"?
Unlimited consultations cover general legal guidance, questions about documents, and advice on business decisions. No billable hour clock running. Consultations are subject to a fair use policy and are intended for advisory guidance on matters within the scope of your membership. Complex projects that require dedicated lawyer time are scoped and quoted separately.
Is the Business tier only for businesses, or can individuals use it?
While designed for businesses, the Business tier is ideal for anyone who needs comprehensive legal support. High-net-worth individuals managing complex estates, multiple properties, or family businesses often choose Business or Black Card for the expanded lawyer access and preferred rates on additional services.
What if I need more than what's included?
For specialized projects like complex transactions, transparent flat-fee quotes are provided. Scope and pricing are always discussed before starting additional work—no surprises.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Which states do you serve?
Clients are currently served in Virginia, Colorado, and Washington. The virtual-first model means you can work with your lawyer from anywhere in these states.
Can I use my membership at any Relevant Law location?
Your membership is administered by the Relevant Law branch where you enroll, which is a separate state-specific law firm staffed by lawyers licensed in that state. Cross-office coordination may be available where lawyers are licensed in the relevant jurisdiction, but legal services are always provided by licensed lawyers exercising independent professional judgment. Your "home" location is the branch that manages your account and lawyer relationship.
* Consultations are unlimited for general legal advisory guidance within the scope of your plan and are subject to the fair use policy. Complex matters requiring dedicated lawyer time, such as transactions, entity formations, or litigation support, are scoped and quoted separately at preferred member rates. Contract review page limits refer to standard-format legal documents; oversized or non-standard documents may count toward limits differently. Document vault storage is measured in calendar-month cycles; unused storage does not roll over. Relevant AI tools are in development and not included in current pricing; Business and Black members will receive priority or enterprise access when released, at no additional charge to their then-current plan.
